Mute Tips

Summary

The article explains how to mute the persistent notification bubble in Salesforce Flow Builder that shows tips, often irrelevant, such as warnings about loops even when none exist. It reveals a simple toggle called "Mute Tips" accessible from the help menu to disable these notifications, improving user experience and reducing distraction. This setting persists per environment but must be enabled individually per sandbox or org. Salesforce admins working with Flows can use this tip to clean up their workflow canvas and enhance focus.

Takeaways
  • Use the Help (?) menu in Flow Builder to find the 'Mute Tips' option.
  • Muting tips removes annoying notification bubbles about flow advice.
  • Mute Tips persists across flows but must be toggled per environment.
  • You can unmute tips anytime from the same menu if needed.

Today I'm offering a quick gift. Nothing fancy. Nothing a lot of you wouldn't already know. (But I've found a good number of admins out there that haven't discovered this yet.) You know that annoying little notification at the bottom of the Flow Builder canvass every time you work on a flow that always has a notification bubble on it? In case you need a reminder, I'm talking about this one: The one that is always pestering you about not having pink elements within a loop. Even if you don't have a loop! ( Here is a brand new flow with no elements on the canvas at all, much less any loops: Please explain to me why it's already got a tip for me.) Have you noticed that the tips rarely have much by way of useful advice anyway? I know you've seen this box. I know you probably are annoyed by it. If you're like me, the fact that it has a notification bubble draws the eye and the fact that you can't dismiss the notification is infuriating .
